This assembled collection of photographs, clippings and postcards is from numerous sources such as commercial vendors and photographers, auction houses and galleries, and scholars' archives and collections, and includes a collection of clippings from Dr. Willem Rudolf Juynboll. The images document Maillol's sculptures in a number of museums and private collections, including the Musée Maillol, Paris, Tuileries gardens, Paris, the Musée d'Orsay, Paris, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Gallery, London, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Art Institute of Chicago. The genre reproduced include the female figure in marble, plaster, terracotta and bronze; as well as drawings and paintings.
